Necesitatea competentelor IT pe piata muncii 9 Martie 2010 |
Concluziile studiului pot fi vazute ca fiind complementare unui alt studiu care si-a propus sa contureze profilul ideal al noului angajat. Conform acestui studiu, noul angajat este absolvent de studii superioare, al unei institutii de invatamant de renume, fie din Romania, fie din strainatate. Are o cultura generala solida a domeniului sau, demonstreaza ca are un dezvoltat simt practic si este bine familiarizat cu utilizarea calculatorului.
Ca si in alte posturi, revenim cu cat e de imperativa o reformare coerenta a sistemului de invatamant. Un bun inceput este este un alt studiu realizat de o comisie de experti in educatie si Societatea Academica Romana: “Formarea de competente: o necesitate pentru societatea secolului XXI?”. Oamenii astia au ajus la concluzia ca in scoala ar trebui sa se puna accentul pe urmatoarele competente europene care trebuiesc dobandite de orice persoana care va trai si munci in economia bazata pe cunoastere, si anume: matematica, fizica, stiinte si tehnologie, competente de invatare de-a lungul intregii vieti precum si cele digitale.
Am putea spune ca sistemul de invatamant romanesc pune deja accentul pe aceste tipuri de competente, insa rezultatele nu sunt dintre cele mai mai bune. Dovada stau miile de CV-uri pe care le primim si in care competentele de operare PC sau cunostintele de MS Office sunt nelipsite, insa la o verificare oricat de sumara a acestora avem surpriza ca respectivii candidati au dificultati si in a redacta un document. Poate la orele de informatica nu ar trebui sa invatam doar cum sa ne facem un cont pe Yahoo…
Reprezentantele initiativei au vorbit despre ceea ce isi propune portalul in cadrul unui interviu. Pleaca de la ideea unei comunicari intre furnizorii de cursuri si doritori. Din pacate ideile prezentate sfideaza pe alocuri o minte rezonabila. Doamnele vorbesc despre aportul acestui portal la alfabetizarea digitala a persoanelor din mediul rural, cu ajutorul programului Biblionet. Acest program se adreseaza bibliotecarilor, intentionand sa construiasca un sistem public cu acces internet pentru bibliotecile din Romania. Ar fi minunat ca vlastarele patriei de la tara sa afle ce e internetul folosind calculatorul din biblioteca, dar acesta idee pare a fi totusi cel putin naiva. Premisa fara de care nu putem inainta este aceea ca aceste persoane trebuie sa aiba calculator. Altfel tot proiectul asta ambitios de alfabetizare digitala este un mit. Intr-adevar mare pacat ca aceasta initiativa este strunita de un discurs defectuos.
Unul dintre argumentele in favoarea succesului acestui portal este auditul social. Despre asta insista initiatoarele proiectului. Din pacate, ceea ce este scapat din vedere e ca un audit social presupune strategie, gestionare si masurare. Nu putem spune despre un site/platforma/whatever care permite comentarii ca realizeaza un audit social. Si totusi ce bine si important suna! During 5 years experience in SIVECO, all my tasks were based on project activities.
I have got experience working with OLAP and PL/SQL, building and implementing Data Warehouse solutions on the following economic fields: E-HEALTH, PRODUCTION, SALES, ENERGY, BANKING, ADMINISTRATION, LEARNING and TRANSPORTATION.
My technical activities are related with development and implementation of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions :

I deployed and developed large Data Warehouse and B.I. systems on ORACLE, SQL Server and DB2 platforms. I was involved in writing PL/SQL (including cursors) and SQL code for E.T.L. functions and procedures, optimizing E.T.L. processes by creating and analyze indexes. I worked with ORACE 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g.
My responsibility is also to define and maintain logical data models, physical data models, data standards, naming conventions, primary key guidelines, and data flow diagrams.
One of my responsibilities is to implement Business Intelligence applications. The most used application I worked with is called SIVECO Business Analyzer (S.B.A.), which is based on OLAP technology, and it is an in-house developed application (by SIVECO ROMANIA, the company where I still work). S.B.A. (http://www.siveco.ro/web/content.jsp?page=219 and language=2 ) is a B.I. tool which offers to users the possibility to analyse the information, stored in OLAP cubes by its own E.T.L engine, using many analyzing tools, such as Top/Bottom, Sort, What-if, Forecast, pivoting tables, etc. My role is to define and model the OLAP cubes, to develop the E.T.L processes for loading the cubes, to analyze the business requirements for the reports, to train the end users, to write technical specifications and documentation for tenders, to make commercial presentations for further clients. Excepting S.B.A I have also worked with ORACLE Discoverer and O.B.I.E.E.
I am still working at SIVECO Romania, which is the biggest corporate IT company in Romania, with over 800 employees. My position is now Project Manager, on Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse projects. Excepting the projects where B.I. and D.W. were the only software components of project scope, I was also involved as component leader for B.I. and D.W., in projects where B.I. and D.W. was a piece of the entire software solution provided by our company, beside E.R.P. or e-health systems. My role was to lead my team (no more than 10 people) and to accomplish my technical tasks. My project management experience includes: MS Project - assign tasks to my team, project meetings, project planning and monitoring, creation of project papers and documents. I can say that now I am a project manager with very strong technical skills.I have been Technical Project Manager, Team Leader, Component Leader, Consultant, Programmer on over 30 projects (BI and Data Warehouse) in 5 years experience at SIVECO Romania S.A.

Between June 2008 and January 2009 his task was to build up a process that produce a set of sql scripts that upgrade the DB (mysql or Oracle) from an old version to a new one of an NMS application. He builds up also an validation tool for this process. Starting with 2009 his task was to integrate an NMS application as an High Available application with a 3 node cluster build up with 3 T2000 SPARK servers and a StorageTek using SUN CLUSTER 3.2. Solaris 10 OS installation, IPMP configuration, HW configuration, Cluster configuration, configuring resource groups and resources,
Storage array configuration. - from March till present he’s involved in development of the new versions of NMS application. Technologies: Jboss, Eclipse, Swing, Oracle, MySql, Java J2EE, XStream, GWT. As main task, he’s responsible to build up a module that implement the FCAPS feature (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance,Security) that can be easily integrated with a new SNMP based equipment with out writing any custom java code.

In IT se vor face intre 1.500 si 2.000 de angajari pana la sfarsitul anului, potrivit estimarilor facute de Ziarul Financiar. O parte dintre aceste se vor datora tendintei companiilor de a-si externaliza departamentul de IT catre servicii specializate in acest sens, pentru a reduce costurile si a recanaliza resursele. Dupa un calcul rapid, estimam People Centric va recruta pentru 10 % dintre aceste posturi. Not bad at all :)
Deficitul de personal specializat pentru aceasta zona profesionala se explica in genere prin carentele sistemului de invatamant (si totodata prin lipsa alternativelor viabile), care nu face fata dezvoltarii rapide a acestui domeniu. Parteneriatele intre companii si universitati sunt insuficiente, iar pe de alta parte, numarul de internship-uri pe diferite specializari in IT este destul de limitat, raportat la necesitati, pentru ca angajatorii nu isi permit (sau nu au viziunea necesara) sa faca o investitie pe termen lung in niste tineri pentru care returul va fi unul lent.
Acest subiect este abordat si de Ziarul Financiar, cu o prezentare in cifre, fara insa a ne oferi niste explicatii. Voi ce credeti? De ce nu avem suficienti specialisti IT in Romania?

Desi piata incepe sa devina concurentiala, in conditiile in care externalizarea de servicii IT inceteaza sa mai fie o practica exotica, Pentalog a atins un profit operational de doua cifre, serviciile sale fiind tot mai intens solicitate de catre companii precum BRD-GSG, Orange, BNP Lease, Imperial Tobacco sau ST Ericsson.
Pentalog mizeaza pe o crestere importanta a numarului de angajati, lasand pe un plan secundar deschiderea de noi agentii in 2010. In 2009 numarul colaboratorilor Pentalog nou recrutati din Romania si Republica Moldova a depasit 100 de persoane, perspectivele pentru 2010 situand un obiectiv de crestere foarte ridicat in acest sens. Astfel, pentru 2010 Pentalog estimeaza ca va recruta intre120 si 170 de colaboratori pentru cele 9 agentii deschise pana in prezent. Ca serviciu unic de recrutare pentru Pentalog, People Centric a avut un aport considerabil in recrutarea de noi colaboratori, aproape 90 % dintre recrutarile companiei realizandu-se prin intermediul People Centric.
Un astfel de succes la care am participat nemijlocit nu poate decat sa ne onoreze si sa ne impinga catre proiecte de recrutare tot mai indraznete, pentru profiluri tot mai rare si mai dificil de gasit. Dupa ce am reusit sa recrutam profiluri extrem de diferite, de la Embedded Software Audio Engineer for 2G si pana la Business Analyst Bancar, putem spune aproape niciun proiect de recrutare nu ne mai sperie. Fiecare noua combinatie de competente care alcatuieste un profil IT este o noua provocare pe care ne-o asumam cu siguranta unei experiente temeinice si a unui business model care nu ne-a dezamagit inca.
